Bengaluru: Here’s the good news for motorists in the city. State Police Director General Praveen Sood has braked for unnecessary vehicle inspection. He advised the authorities not to inspect the vehicle only for drunk drivers and traffic violators.
Traffic is on the rise as the police stop a speeding vehicle on the road. There have been complaints that police inspectors threaten motorists to escape. Now Praveen Sood has clarified this.
Praveen Sood, who tweeted about this, I reiterate once again. He stated that no vehicle should be stopped for inspection, only for drunken drivers and traffic violators, unless there is a traffic violation clearly visible to the eye. He has instructed the Bangalore Police Commissioner and the Joint Commissioner of Traffic to implement this.
I reiterate again… no vehicle SHALL BE STOPPED merely for checking documents unless it has committed a traffic violation visible to the naked eye. Only exception is drunken driving. Have instructed @CPBlr & @jointcptraffic for its implementation immediately.
