Bengaluru : High court Justice and chief executive of Karnataka State Legal Services Authority Justice B Veerappa, and High Court Legal Services Committee administrator Justice BS Dinesh Kumar, alongside others, paid an unexpected visit to Central Prison – Parappana Agrahara ,Bengaluru.
Addressing the media , Justice B Veerappa said that the report was acquired by visiting ladies and male detainees independently. Examination of disinfection, latrine sleeping quarters, food supply, drug store, emergency clinic, shower houses. Mr Shashidhar Shetty Member-Secretary, Karnataka State Legal Services Authority told that the visit comes in the scenery of claims of jail authorities enjoying acts of neglect and giving special treatment to a couple of detainees for cash.
Each of the detainment facilities are all tidied up during the review. That may not be the situation. He said that such visits would be observed later on.
